so i havent written in like forever. We are doing well but have had a mice and rat problem in our apartment. luckily they took care of the problem so far but i'm still utterly grossed out. Anyway Sebastian will be 11 years old on March 27th 2011. Time has literally flown by. We are having a b-day party for him on the 26th and we will be having an easter egg hunt and an icecream cake from baskin robins:) I'm still working at bath and body works and In-home support services and my hours got cut for In-home support services unfortunately. Luckily we are still able to stay in our apartment for now. Gotta go for now.....

Feeling Better

So we have been doing much better for a while....knock on wood..... Anyway things have been going well. Sebastian is enjoying school and goes to sleep beautifully every night about the same time. He is practically potty-trained but there are those days still. Michael Fico is coming to watch Sebastian this weekend. We are sooo excited and grateful for his desire to help out Seb. Not much else to say for now except the weather has been gorgeous!!!!

Being Sick

So we just got over the flu and it literaly took like 2 weeeks. Sebastian got sooooooooo sick he was even vomiting blood. He finally ended up with a double ear infection which we just finished treating. I am still sick but doing a little better. I need to get my carpets cleaned now. I HATE having the flu, it's so awful. Anyhow I was going to say it could be worse but it already was as bad as it could get. Now were just back to his normal gagging and throwing up in the morning.

So, a few nights ago, Seb was having a rought night so I was already soooo tired I just let him sleep in bed with me. Then around 3 am, someone called my cell phone and asked me if everything was okay, because they said I had called 911 twice. I just remembered then how I always sleep with my cell phone on my bed and how seb was restlessly right next to me. Anyway, no harm done but man I can't believe he did that......

New Apartment

So we have our own Apartment!!!!!! It is 2br 2b and very warm and cozy. Sebastian adjusted pretty much right away to our new house. We are doing really well. So I am still working at Bath and Body Works and it is great. Sebastian started taking the bus home this year and Loves it! We've been watching Sabrina the teenage witch lately and its really fun. Apple Hill was great this year also and it was awesome to visit with Paul and Melissa. They came to be their for when Elder Michael Fico got off the plane from his 2 yr mission in the phillipines. Seb was super excited to see him! Anyhow I will try to write more later. Life has been sooooo busy lately. BYE

So Seb and I missed Paul and Melissa's wedding because we caught a horrible stomach flu. Sorry for being so detailed but I threw up 7 times in a row the night before the wedding, then I was sicker than sick the whole next day and found out that Seb had thrown up and continued to throw up the whole next day . Then 1 or 2 days later, Mom caught it. Melissa had it too and Paul got sick but luckily didnt throw up....At least they took plenty of pictures:)
I can't believe that it is already 2009. I think that 2008 is the best and worst year I ever had If that even makes sense. I don't really have all that much to say, I havent taken any new pics lately either. I have been super busy working and tired.
So my nephew, Covey, is scheduled to have T & A surgery this Thursday and finally had tubes put in his ears. He is doing better as far as I know. Please keep him in your prayers,....
I better get going for now I will try to post some new pics soon....

sorry about not posting anything lately. It's been a very very busy crazy year. So Sebastian is doing very well in school and enjoys using the computer in his class. I have two jobs, 1st one is at The Childrens Place, a clothing store and the 2nd is at Bath and Body Works. I have been working a ton lately and some really odd shifts but it keeps me busy:) Eventually I plan on only working at one or the other,...not sure yet.
Paul is getting married this Tuesday Dec. 30th. to Melissa. We are all looking forward to there special day. Its going to be busy but fun......gotta go, Seb needs me...:)

So I thought I should at least write a little something. I have'nt really been into the whole blogging thing for a while let alone even checking my email. Anyway, Sebastian is back in school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!YAY!!!!!!! I was actually able to clean out my car yesterday. It feels so great to do even little things like that. We've been pretty sick and Sebastian has been my shadow 24/7. I never realized how good we had it when he was still able to go to school. His health has improved greatly and he is busier than ever:) I just about literally cannot leave him alone for more than a few seconds without something happening. I am grateful and do however feel priveledged that I have been entrusted with his care and I want to always do my best to protect him. Things will happen but it's okay.
So we have had some really great weather lately. It rains a little off and on and the sky is full of BEAUTIFUL clouds with just a hint of blue skies. I REALLY love to look at the clouds. We are truley blessed with sooooo much beauty around us.
So before Sebastian could return to school, I had to turn a Dr.s form to the district office okaying his return to school. So on the way there, Sebastian was getting ansey and upset and threw a couple of things at me while I was driving-(my car desperately needed to be cleaned out) and I decided just to ignore them and not even pick them up. He was fine and we got there and walked a ways to the office and turned in the form. There were some other people in there too so It took a few minutes. Anyhow, it all worked out quite well and then it was time to leave which is always a struggle but we made it. We walked all the way back to the car and I strapped Seb in and then sat in the seat and felt some kind of lump against my back. Right away I was thinking what in the world is stuck on the seat. Well......it was Not what was stuck on the seat, it was what had been stuck to my back ever since I had left the car to turn in the form. It was a sticky bun type thing from the primary activity we had gone to. So yes, Seb had thrown it at me it stuck to my back and let me tell you it was pretty big and I had walked into the office with that thing on my back the whole time and did'nt even know it and the part that kills me is that nobody even said anything....and I KNOW they had to have seen it I mean you could'nt have missed that..If I saw that on someone I'm not sure I would have said something but I totally would have laughed. ThankYou to Sebastian for never a dull moment!:) It was pretty funny

They did and Easter egg/scavenger hunt but it was soooo much better, you were only supposed to find the pink and purple eggs which had clues in them that had to do with the resurrection of Jesus Christ and when they did'nt understand a clue they could look it up with the scriptures. And once they figured out the clue, for example one was bread and they would then have to find a piece of bread. It was sooo cute and clever and Sebastian had a GREAT time. He found about 3 eggs.

So for everyone out there, I just thought you should know that I LOVE my Mom and Dad! Adding a little somthing, I have truely come to realize that they are both some of my best friends..:) They are so wonderful and Sebastian and I are sooooooo grateful for all they do for us. They always support us and guide us in all that we do. They are always there to help us be prepared for challenges that may come our way. There example is truely a righteous one.
I will always be forever Grateful to them for raising us in the Gospel and this church. I am grateful for their testimonies and they have always taught us well to keep the commandents. I lately have wondered where I would be in my life If I had'nt been raised in the Gospel. I know though that I would be miserable especially having rebelled in my youth and seeking the ways of the world. Amiss all of my curious and unworthy adventures, my Mom and Dad ALWAYS loved me. I have been born of goodly parents.......

The Russian Festival

So Karen, Rich, my friend Dawn from church, and I, went to the yearly Russian Festival in San Francisco. I have been going with Karen and I LOVE it. They have fantastic russian food, a unique art gallery, Lots of things to look at and buy and of course entertainment. We enjoyed all of it and Karen translates anything we do not understand . Sebastian and Adelle were babysat by the best.......Grandma and Grandpa! I only hope that next year we can all go!

The Harlem Globetrotters Game

Sebastian had sooooo much fun at the Game! He refused to look at the camera for any pictures because he was too busy watching the exciting game.

Our good friends, Sam and Liz Pitts from church, invited us to the Harlem Globetrotters Game on Friday,the 18th of Jan. She had gotten some free tickets from a co-worker and they kindly invited us to go with them.

Everyone of us had a really bad picture because we were so distracted but Sebs was the best and I think we deleted the others anyway,

So you're probably wondering what is with these pictures. Well.....they capture Sebastians excitement perfectly. For a HUGE part of the game he was literally on the edge of his seat bouncing up and down. He had such a great time.

I gave Sebastian and Adelle a bath together. Originally it was only going to be Adelle bathing but Seb got himself undressed and climbed in. Grandma bathed Adelle and got her out. She left the babywash very much in Sebs reach which is never allowed. I did'nt realize this and went to brush my teeth when I turned around Seb wasbarely having to splash to make bubbles. He poured in just about the whole bottle.

Sebastian had one of the best baths I'm sure in his opinion in a long time .....We now need to buy more babywash today....:)

Birthday Party at "The Little Gym"

Sebastian got invited to a Birthday Party at 'The Little Gym" this Saturday for his good friends form Church, Evan and Clare Riker. He spent most of his time walking around to all his friends and playing some of the games.

That would be Seb with clenched fists because any surface that is not stable...like mats or an air mattress he fears a little. But he had a great time anyway

Here is Sebastians plate. We had some friends over for dinner and he wanted some of everything all at once. A mixture of salad, dressing, sour cream, potatoe casserole, peas, bread rolls, banana bread and a brownie. Ironically he eats better when it's all mixed together.

The Gas Station

So, I went to get gas in my car this evening at the same 76 or conoco Phillips station I always go to and I used my Amex Creditcard to pay a the pump like I always do before I gas up. Well anyway I spent $42.45 and went home. I decided to check my creditcard transactions on line and there was a pending transaction for $99.00 from the gas station. So I called Amex and they said that some gas stations have an alotted amount they can charge you If you pay 1st before you pump the gas just in case the funds arent there. She also said when it posts, It should post for the correct amount but If not they could always just dispute with 100% protection gaurentee. So If this is legit and true I am disgusted with the control they have over our money. Perhaps It is legit and in that case, I guess It's sort of okay, But what If that extra money they chrged me "just to protect themselves" had put me over the limit with an over the limit fee. It did NOT, but still I just think It's a real screwy thing that they are allowed to do and I think in any case I will do my best to only pay with cash even though I usually never carry cash.... So has anyone else had this happen to them? I mean I've heard of banks doing this sort of thing but not gas stations, Is it really allowed???? Please let me know If you have any suggestions or info on this..

The Sunset

My Dad called me up on the phone and said to go outside
and check out the sunset. It's beauty is definetely not captured in
the picture I took but It was spectacular. Usually I'm too busy to
notice things like that. It reminds me of how Sebastian is a HUGE
fan of collecting leaves. He LOVEs them! And yes they are
very beautiful in their own way, If you take the time to pick them
up and study them......

Tedly always finds whatever is new or in this case
an old blow-up mattress pillow that Seb found in Pauls closet.

We have been blessed

So, we had a acouple of scares lately with our house. For the past 3 weeks I have not been able to shake this scary feeling about our house. I could'nt figure it out. Anyhow I have a mini-heater in our room and one night it began to smell like burning so I turned it off and the cord was hot. We went and bought another one. I decided to test it out on another outlet which actually sparked fire, smoked smelt like burning very strongly. The same night I went to get something from the living room and turned on the switch which buzzed and then smelt of electrical burning very strongly. So, It was a rather sleepless night that night but I told Dad and Mom what had happened and that I was afraid for our house. They called an electrician who came that morning and repaired the dangerous outlet in my room and the switch in the living room. He also said that the whole house needed to be rewired asap. The crazy thing is that appaerntly he had been called to our house about a yr ago for our wasing machine and remembered telling us the same thing then. He also said that every outlet and switch need to be accessable and they chrge extra to move furniture. So we have until the beginning of January to move everything because he was leaving for vacation and we felt it would be right to have him repair the house. Lesson learned.......sound advice we should have listened to a year ago. Anyway, at least we figured that one out, but I kept having that bad feeling again. Then last night, Rich went to replace our thermostat with a new one but did'nt have the right tools at the time so he just put the other one back. I went to turn the heat on and it clicked but nothing fired up. Dad called PG&E and they thought it sounded just like the pilot light went out so they gave us an appt. the day after xmas. I asked him If they could move it up and he said only If I could be home. So we called back and set it up for their 1st available on Thursday. Mom and Dad went to go to bed and I passed the furnace in the hallway and YIKES! I could totally smell gas!!! So I told them and they called PG&E back and they said they'd send somebody out that night. The technician got here around 12:30am and said It's probably just the pilot light. Then he realized that the gas valve was not closing it was staying open which means that It will and probably has been leaking gas. So he capped off the valves and recc. top find a heater repair dealer to come fix it. So we are SOOOOOOOOOO greatful that the tech came by and shut it off and capped it off. We are a bit cold today but an insignificant price to pay for our own safety:) We are so greatful that our house will be getting the proper and necessary repairs it has sooooo desperately needed. My hands are like ice right now but it's okay....:)

If you ever need a little bit of free time, Wrap up some small toys with extra wrapping paper. Sebastian LOVES opening presents and throws it aside after its opened anyway just to open the next one. You don't even need to buy new ones.......:) It was GREAT! And yes he LOVES wearing his new winter boots and he can put them on all by himself, If you look closely, they are on the wrong feet but I just leave them.......besides he's very proud to have put them on by himself in the 1st place anyway.

Sebastian insisted on owning a very loud Santa snowglobe from Walmart. It plays 10 different Christmas songs and has only 2 volume levels...loud and louder. He also felt very strongly about sleeping with it. I heard it a few times through the night.

Sebastian was playing the piano when I left the room. I was only gone like a minute and he was stuffing wires ties into the keys when I came back. Why would he be playing it??:) Sebastian enjoyed looking at some new books with his baby cousin "Adelle" the other night.

Sorry I have'nt posted anything in a while, I have a tendancy to procrastinate....even on fun things..... So I don't have time for pictures just now but I though I would share about our dinner the other night.

I finely ground some dinner up for Sebastian. That is really the only way I can get him to eat the veges. I set it on the counter and went into the other room to get something. Seb was in the family room anyway with Grandma. I was only gone for like a couple minutes and when I got back everything looked just fine. Seb was still in the family room. So I picked up his bowl of dinner and began to stir it. As I stirred it I realized there was the hugest , fattest, chunk of butter in it. I asked my mom about it and she said she did'nt even see him do that. Thats what happens when you leave Sebastian alone with the butter left out on the counter. But man, he is sooooo fast and he also left the scene of the crime.....very sneaky.

Here are 6 things you may not know about me:

1. I am a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. I know it seems wierd that you may not know this about me but I'm not one to just blurt it out. In fact I often feel a little nervous about how people will percieve me, I have never been very confident in myself in many ways but I feel It is my duty to make sure that everyone knows this about me and that I am happy and proud to be a member of this church!

2. I LOVE carving pumpkins! I know it's a little childish but I like a good challenge.

3. Most of the time I complain before I actually see the good things......For example.....I am really tired of changing diapers and getting Sebastian to drink from his sippi-cup 24/7. Sorry, I had to vent just a little. Don't get me wrong though, I would do anything for him forever! :) Oh and staying up until 4:00am every night can put a damper on the next day:)

4. I can't stand it when people chew with their mouth opened, especially the crunchy stuff. I know it's something insignificant and it should'nt annoy me but I admit it really bothers me.

5. Oh yes, I love to do an etch-a-scetch, I'll post a picture eventually.

6. I LOVE my cat.....she's completes our family and I love to spoil her.

The Little Miracles in Life

So, This is kinda like a journal entry for me. Seb and I went to see "The Bee Movie" this afternoon. It was okay. Afterwards we always have to go into the Mall to play on the lights. Most Malls have a reactrix floorboard where all the kids end up. Seb ,signed, please to a mother and child with a Balloon and they gave it to him right away. What a little miracle that was right there. Then he literally found a best friend and played with this balloon with this other little girl for like an hour before leaving and left the balloon behind for her to enjoy. The joy that comes from something as simple as a balloon. He actually left on a happy note.
Another time at the Mall, same spot of course, He made another best friend actually two, they were twin brothers and played chase with him as well. The mother kindly gave Seb a granola bar which he did not want but she insisted he keep it. The next day, Sebastian refused to eat anything, just one of those days, but finally he went into the pantry where I had put the granola bar, and that was the only thing he was willing to eat practically the whole day. That was a miracle.
Sebastian had a Doctor Appt. this Tuesday and we got there at 1:20pm with an Appt. scheduled at 1:30pm. We waited and waited and that is a very hard thing for Sebastian to do. We did'nt get called in until 3:50pm. I was sooo worried he would get bored and then out of control. Luckily he made some more best friends and he had brought in a balloon with us which he and the other children were able to play with. They were waiting also for about the same amount of time so It worked out to everyones satisfaction and enjoyment.
Sebastian always seems to get other peoples balloons, while waiting in line at the pharmacy downstairs, Sebastian gestured and squealed as a lady with a couple of balloons past us by out the door. She then not a mintue later came back in to give one of the balloons to Sebastian because he had wanted one. Waiting in line was quite easier and enjoyable with this balloon. I don't just believe these are little coincidences, I believe they are witnesses to Gods loving hand in our daily lives and Truely miracles to me. I marvel at the people who can do these kind acts. To be honest If I had been the lady walking by with the balloons I might have not seen Sebastian and just kept going, but she did, and she even turned back. Sometimes I feel like I carry it all on my own and feel overwhelmed or discouraged but as I sat tonight at the Mall, It almost brought me to tears in that we are soooooooooooo blessed and I am often too busy or distracted to recognize these little miracles and that God is truely a part of our lives every single day.
And let me tell you a smile goes a long way and I was reminded of this just yesterday on my way to a Dr. Appt. for myself. I was walking up to the hospital already feeling a little discouraged when a man passed me by and gave me the most warm genuine smile. All of a sudden I was smiling and feeling happy and hopeful.
In closing, I know that God lives and he truley loves each and everyone of us. He is always there even when we fail to recognize his loving hand.. He loves us so much. There are times when I feel like I have nothing left to give or I am ready to give up out of exhaustion and frusteration and then miraculously,all of a sudden, I get an amazing boost of confidence and energy and those feelings of dispair are gone just as quickly as they came. I admit it is a challenge for me a lot of the time taking care of Sebastian but I Know that I am not alone and that is the best feeling. I know that If we can all smile a little more and not dwell on the bad little things but see that there truely is a purpose and reason for everything we will truely be blessed to see Gods loving hand in our lives, at all times and in all things and in all places.

It was a fun but long night. Sebastian had a blast running around at Church. He got quite a bit of candy and of course did take the time to stop and taste some of it. When we got home, he ran next door to our neighbors house and bypassed the candy when they opened the door and ran inside of course to play. After that, we went across the street to his friend, Arnolds house where he yet again bypassed the candy to come inside and play, we stayed over at their house for a while and then finally went home to relax a little. We used to take him around the neighborhood but theres only so many neighbors that are okay with him coming in :) With all the excitement we finally got to sleep around 3:30am but yes this is the usual for us...Sebastian does not sleep as much as one might asume. We hope you all had a HAPPY HALLOWEEN !!!

The Youth in our ward, put on a carnival for the kids before the trunk-or-treat. They had a bunch of games and a costume contest for all ages....Sebastian of course spent most of his time making the rounds, coming up to all his friends rather than playing any games. His favorite costume was the bull rider and followed him around until he got out of costume, so we got a picture of them together finally.

It is a Wednesday night and Sebastian is doing a little better. He is watching Mr. Bean, the T.V. series, right now from Netlix and cracking up. Last night we had the Missionaries over for dinner. We had spaghetti and apple pie. Sebastian sat in his chair and ate his little bit of pie and then came over to give the Elders some great big hugs. He was especially lovey with one of them and before we knew it he had snatched the Elders crust from his plate and ran off into the familyroom to enjoy. We all had a good laugh over that one. ThankYou to everyone for your encouraging thoughts and prayers.

So we hope you get a few laughs out of this:

Sebastian and I went to the movies a while back. We LOVE going to the theater. We always sit in the back row and try to make sure that nobody sits on Sebs side or directly in front of us Or they will get kicked. Seb was immensely enjoying the movie and out of nowhere decided to throw his binky down below. He hit some random person in the head and they along with their friends looked back awfully confused. It took them a few seconds to realize what had happened as they kindly passed his binky a few rows back upto us. Luckily they were very good natured about it. The binky was confiscated immediately after I could see the joy in his eyes of what just happened and the hope that it could be repeated.

It was in the evening a couple of months ago when we were all doing different activities. I needed to make Sebastians bed and Seb was in the family room with Grandpa and Grandma. About 10 min. later I had finished and come out to find only Grandma and Grandpa but no Sebastian. I asked where he was and they said they thought he was with me. So we paused for a second and all ran down the hall towards the sound of running water. We found him in Their bathroom with the sink conviently and correctly plugged up full of water, overflowing, an entire tube of toothpaste(already squeezed out) in the water and the handsoap dispenser floating too because it had also been emptied. He was quite pleased as he flapped his soaked sleeves in the air and laughed.

Another time recently, I was doing laundry in the garage and Grandpa and Grandma were watching Seb. Well, when I came back in the house he was not with them, and I asked where he was. They thought he had gone out with me. The screen door was slightly ajar so I ran outside to find him about 2 houses down the block running in his pajamas towards me very happily and ready to play.

So we all know how Sebastian smells everything. My favorite time of this is when I had dropped him off to be bbsat by our good friends, The Ficos. They later told me that he was standing in their entryway where Michael had removed his shoes. He smelled Michaels shoes and feet and threw up all over. They had to put him in the bath which of course was quite a treat. I felt really bad when they told me this but it was also pretty funny.
